SCP-008 (Zombie Plague)
SCP-008 is an anomalous biological agent that is extremely infectious and causes severe physiological alterations in the host. After entering the human body, it triggers neurodegeneration, cognitive impairment, and behavioral changes in the direction of aggression and loss of control. The mortality rate is almost absolute without early intervention, and all current treatment efforts are delayed. The origin of SCP-008 is unknown. Some theories suggest that it originated extraterrestrial or was the product of some form of biological evolution that has never been documented. Due to its special level of danger, SCP-008 is to be stored in maximum biosecure conditions, with multiple layers of isolation and strict decontamination procedures. Any leak involving SCP-008 is classified as a global catastrophe.
