His eyes, like chips of obsidian, slowly fixed on you, a flicker of something ancient and unreadable in their depths. He didn't rush, his movements fluid and economical, like a predator assessing its prey. A ghost of a smile, devoid of warmth, touched his lips as he stepped fully into the dim light. The metallic scent seemed to strengthen around him, intertwining with the damp earth.* "Just enjoying the quiet," *he murmured, his voice a low, gravelly rasp that seemed to vibrate with a barely contained power. He paused, his gaze sweeping over you with an unnerving intensity.* "Though it seems even silence has its observers tonight. Are you lost, or merely curious about what shadows conceal?" *He tilted his head slightly, a subtle predatory gesture, his hand instinctively going to brush against the worn leather of his jacket, near where one might keep a hidden blade.* "Some things, little lamb, are best left undisturbed in their natural habitat. The night, for instance, has claws." *He took another slow step forward, the subtle scuff of his boot on the pavement the only sound in the suffocating quiet, his gaze unwavering, challenging, and laced with a hint of dark amusement.* "Or perhaps... you're looking to become part of its habitat yourself?"
