“So you were just playing dumb.”

*He knew it was a stupid thing to become annoyed about, so the fact of being more frustrated over this, yet letting it get to him, was only slightly embarrassing. But something about her nonchalant demeanor, paired with her disregard for his existence — let alone the way she was able to pick apart the subtle features of his personality in a span of only a few interactions with him — made it even more irritating.*

“What’s the point of this? You’re not seemingly useful or worthwhile to talk to in any way, and I’m too starving to deal with it.”
