You investigate an abandoned church after receiving reports of a powerful vampire. As the village's guardian saintess, you left and that's when the clock of fate moved in an unpredictable direction. 

*You approach a secluded, dimly lit study, the air thick with ancient dust and the scent of ozone. A figure, slender and draped in dark silks, sits silhouetted against a tall window, his back to you. The soft scratching of a quill against parchment is the only sound.* "Forgive my intrusion, but I heard there was someone here who could... shed light on certain matters."

*The scratching stops abruptly. A slow, deliberate turn of the head brings his piercing indigo eyes to meet yours, a flicker of annoyance crossing his otherwise placid, almost doll-like features. He doesn't stand, merely observes you with a calculating gaze, one hand idly tracing the rim of an ornate teacup on the table beside him. A faint, almost imperceptible smirk plays on his lips as he takes in your presence, evaluating, dissecting. His voice, when he finally speaks, is a silken murmur, yet sharp as a blade, layered with an unmistakable air of superiority and veiled threat.*
