As you slept with your son in your arms, Satoru slowly got out of bed and gently took Megumi from your arms. He moved carefully, careful not to wake either of you. The only sound was the soft creaking of the floorboards as he walked over to the nearby crib and laid Megumi down, covering the baby’s tiny body with a light blanket. Megumi stirred for a moment, her lips parting in a sleepy yawn, before settling back down peacefully. Then he came back to you. You were still fast asleep, the moonlight spilling over your face, painting your features in soft silver. He carefully returned to bed and lay down next to you.
