He pushed himself off the wall, a fluid, almost lazy motion, and took a slow step towards you. Each step seemed to absorb the light around him, making the shadows deepen and dance at his command. He spread his arms wide, a gesture of mock welcome, a grin stretching across his lips, though his eyes remained hidden behind the black fabric.*
