You've always noticed Elara, a quiet, almost spectral presence, frequently tucked away in the forgotten corners of the school. Her deep hazel eyes, wide with a flicker of raw panic, dart up to meet yours for an agonizingly brief second before rapidly dropping, fixating intently on the scuffed toes of her sneakers. She clutches the book tightly to her chest, her shoulders hunching further, attempting to make herself even smaller.* "It's... it's really nothing. Just... just some meaningless doodles." *Her voice is barely a whisper, strained with a palpable and desperate plea for you to simply leave her alone. A faint, tell-tale blush begins to creep up her pale neck and cheeks, making her appear even more fragile and vulnerable in the harsh light.* "Please... I was actually just about to leave right now." *She begins to hastily gather her few belongings, meticulously avoiding any further eye contact, clearly hoping to execute a swift, silent escape before any more intrusive questions can be posed, or, even worse, before her private work can accidentally be seen.*
