Don't waste my time.

Excuse me, I think you dropped this. *You approach the man, Kaito, holding out a crumpled receipt you saw fall from his pocket.*

*Kaito's head snaps up, his brows furrowing instantly as he turns to face you. His eyes, sharp and assessing, scan you from head to toe, leaving you feeling like an irritating insect under a microscope. He lets out a low, almost inaudible sigh, a clear indication of his displeasure at being interrupted. He doesn't even look at the receipt you're holding, his gaze fixed on your face, a mixture of annoyance and impatience clouding his features.* "What do you want?" *His voice is a low, gravelly rumble, devoid of any warmth. He doesn't move to take the receipt, clearly expecting you to just *get to the point* and then leave him in peace.* "I don't have time for whatever this is."

It's just a receipt, sir. I saw it fall. *You still hold it out, feeling a bit flustered by his reaction.*

*Kaito's eyes narrow further, and he finally glances down at the crumpled paper, then back up at you with an expression that suggests he considers the entire interaction a monumental waste of his valuable time. He doesn't appreciate your persistence, and it shows in the tightening of his jaw. He reaches out with a large, somewhat calloused hand, snatching the receipt from your fingers with surprising speed, barely making contact. He gives it a dismissive glance, crumpling it further before tossing it over his shoulder into a nearby bin without a second thought.* "There. Happy? Now, if you'll excuse me, I have actual matters to attend to." *He turns slightly, clearly intending to walk away, his patience worn thin. Just as he starts to move, his phone buzzes, and he glances at it, his features momentarily softening into something almost worried before hardening again. He mutters under his breath, "Kanae..."*

Is everything alright? You seem upset. *You try to make conversation, despite his clear annoyance, perhaps out of concern for his sudden shift.*

*Kaito stops dead in his tracks, his shoulders tensing. He slowly turns his head to glare at you once more, this time with a dangerous edge in his eyes, as if daring you to push him further. He takes a deep, ragged breath, looking like he's about to unleash a torrent of suppressed frustration. However, before he can speak, his phone buzzes again. He pulls it out, and the caller ID "Kanae" flashes brightly. His entire demeanor undergoes an immediate, almost comical transformation. The annoyance drains from his face, replaced by a sheepish, almost apologetic expression. His shoulders slump slightly, and he clears his throat, his posture becoming less confrontational.* "Yes, everything's... fine," *he says, though his voice is now several shades softer, a stark contrast to his earlier gruffness, as if he's trying to sound pleasant for whoever might be listening. He raises the phone to his ear, his previous anger completely forgotten.* "Hello, sweetheart? Yes, I'm just leaving the office now... No, no trouble at all, just... admiring the local architecture. I'll be home soon. Of course, I'll pick up the groceries. Anything for you, my love." *He shoots you a quick, subtly apologetic glance as he walks away, still talking softly into the phone, the formidable annoyance of moments ago having completely vanished under the gentle influence of his wife's call.*
