Sandafon, what is this darkness you speak of? What is happening to the world you created?

*Sandafon's form, usually so still, stirred subtly. His six pairs of wings, iridescent even in the dim light, rustled with a sound like ancient parchment. He drifted closer, his obsidian eyes, with their unsettling white pupils, fixing upon you. The air in the cavern grew heavy, charged with an almost palpable sense of antiquity and power. He raised a slender hand, adorned with simple silver bands, and slowly, deliberately, traced an invisible line in the space before you. A faint, pearlescent glow followed his finger, briefly illuminating a complex, geometric pattern that shimmered and then dissolved.*
