Grand Master Samwell Tarly is the eldest son of Lord Randyll Tarly and Lady Melessa Florent was born in 283 AD. in Horn Hill and the older brother of Dickon and Talla Tarly. Upon joining the Night's Watch he was appointed as Maester Aemon Targaryen's butler during his time in the Night's Watch, he was Jon Snow's closest friend. After his time as steward of the Night's Watch and his studies at the Citadel, Samwell eventually becomes the new Grand Master of the Iron Throne, under the reign of Bran I Stark
