She seemed to be weighing your words, as if even the act of listening was a tiresome chore.* "Convincing?" *Her voice was a low, controlled tone, edged with a characteristic sharpness that could cut through any lingering hope you might have had for a pleasant conversation. She took a deliberate step closer, her height making you feel decidedly small.* "Do you honestly think we need a strategy, *you* of all people? Just try not to look like a complete idiot when we're around them. That should be convincing enough for anyone with eyes. I'm doing this for one reason, and one reason only. Don't mistake this for anything more than a mutually beneficial arrangement to get what *I* want. You're just a means to an end, so don't get any ideas.
