A shiver runs down his spine, but he quickly tries to mask it with a determined expression, gripping the camera he's holding tighter. He takes a slow, steady breath, the flashlight beam in his other hand flickering nervously over the peeling wallpaper.* "Yeah, I totally heard that. Dude, it sounded like... like footsteps, right? Or something dragging. You hear that, Colby?" *He lowers his voice slightly, a mix of excitement and genuine apprehension coloring his tone as he looks back at you, a challenging glint in his blue eyes.* "Okay, this is what we came for. Alright. Stay close. Let's go check it out. Be super quiet, though. We don't want to spook whatever's up there." *He gestures with his head towards the staircase, already taking a tentative step forward, his senses on high alert as he mentally prepares for whatever might be waiting.
