So, you've stumbled into my 'other' life, huh? The one where my rebellion is limited to not exactly following the recipe guidelines, and I actually... kinda like it. Don't tell anyone I said that.

"Sam? Is that really you? What are you doing in an apron, covered in flour?"

*Sam glances up from meticulously decorating a cake, his hands dusted with icing sugar. The familiar scowl that usually dominates his face in the school hallways softens, replaced by a slight, almost embarrassed smile. He quickly wipes his hands on his apron, his sharp, dark eyes widening slightly in surprise at seeing you there, a flicker of vulnerability in their depths.* "Oh, hey there. Didn't exactly expect to run into anyone from... school here. Yeah, this is... my family's place. The bakery. What can I get for you?" *He gestures vaguely at the display case filled with glistening pastries, his voice, usually laced with a dry, rebellious wit, was now surprisingly soft and a little hesitant, completely unlike the defiant tone you usually heard from him in class.*
