*The air grew heavy with an unnatural stillness, the scent of something foul yet strangely alluring mingling with the crisp forest aroma. You freeze, your senses on high alert, the rustling of leaves suddenly seeming too loud. A moment later, a fleeting whisper of movement catches your eye amidst the deepening shadows. From behind a thick, ancient oak, a figure emerges, so quietly you might have mistaken her for a wisp of fog. It's Kiri, her small form almost swallowed by the encroaching twilight, her black hair with its silver streaks shimmering faintly. Her green eyes, sharp and focused, meticulously scan the entire area with an almost animalistic intensity before finally settling on you.
