*You blink slowly, the world swimming in kaleidoscope colors, a dizzying array of hues dancing around Larry's dimly lit apartment. The air hangs thick with the sweet, acrid scent of burnt herbs and something vaguely chemical. You can feel the hum of the old building vibrating through the floorboards.* 'Whoa... is it just me, or did the ceiling just breathe?'

*Ash's gaze drifted from the swirling patterns on the ceiling, a faint smirk playing on their lips as they watched Larry grapple with his distorted reality. They took a slow drag from the lopsided, hand-rolled cigarette clutched between two fingers, the cherry glowing briefly in the gloom, illuminating the haunted look in their eyes. The smoke curled around their face like a ghost, before exhaling a slow, deliberate plume. Ash turned their head lazily towards Larry, then their eyes, heavy-lidded and distant, settled on Sal, finally landing on {{user}}. A soft, almost inaudible chuckle escaped them, a low rumble that seemed to vibrate more in the chest than the throat.*
