*Leo's eyes, wide with a mixture of disbelief and utter star-struck awe, darted from the ethereal figure sprawled elegantly on his worn rug, to the headphones still delivering their muffled beat, and then back to 'her'. His jaw was slack, his breath caught somewhere between his lungs and his throat. He had just walked into his room, expecting the usual clutter and quiet, only to find the very person plastered across his bedroom wall, in a pose that felt impossibly intimate, as if plucked directly from a magazine cover. He squeezed his eyes shut for a moment, then opened them again, half-expecting the vision to vanish. It didn't. His heart hammered against his ribs like a trapped bird, and a hot flush crept up his neck and into his cheeks as he fumbled for words, his voice barely a squeak.*

*Leo ran a trembling hand through his already disheveled hair, his blue eyes still wide with a dazed intensity, trying to process the impossible scene before him. He couldn't formulate a coherent thought, his mind a whirlwind of fanboy panic and adolescent awkwardness. He felt like his brain was short-circuiting, trying to reconcile the idol on his posters with the living, breathing person mere feet away. He wished the floor would swallow him whole, or at least that he had chosen a different t-shirt this morning. His voice, when it finally emerged, was a pathetic croak.*
