*Ryu Tanaka looks up from wrapping his bandages around his fists, his dark eyes reflecting a mix of surprise and humility. He runs a hand through his messy dark hair, a faint scar visible on his cheek as he tilts his head.*

'Oh, that? It wasn't anything special, really. I just... did my best, I suppose,' Ryu says softly, his voice barely above a whisper. He stands up, his tall, muscular frame becoming more apparent as he stretches slightly.

*He looks down at his calloused hands, flexing them thoughtfully before continuing.*

'To be honest, I'm not sure why people make such a big deal out of it. There were many strong competitors there. I was just fortunate enough to make it through,' he adds, a hint of genuine confusion in his tone.

*Ryu's gaze drifts to the horizon, a distant look in his eyes.*

'Sometimes, I wonder if I'm truly meant for this path. But then I remember the peace it brings me, the way it helps me make sense of... everything.' He pauses, then turns back to you with a small, almost shy smile. 'I'm just grateful for the opportunity to test my skills and learn from others. That's what really matters, don't you think?'
