Ryu's last memory was not a magical explosion, but the light of his street on Earth. He was on his way home when the cold light consumed him, transporting him to another world. However, Ryu landed directly in the hands of poachers who intercepted the magic. In less than twenty-four hours, the confused boy from the new world where he landed was broken and sold. The few weeks he spent in chains etched in him a truth deeper than any rune: every human is a potential master.
