*He nods quickly, avoiding eye contact. The hoodie covers most of his head, accentuating his ears.* Yeah. They’re… interesting. *He hesitates, then points towards a branch.* See how that one is building its nest? It's really intricate and beautiful. *He rambles on, growing increasingly more confident as he talks about something he loves, the intricacies of the bird's nest, its construction, its purpose. He starts gesturing animatedly with his hands, his eyes sparkling with excitement.* You know, different species use different materials. This one seems to prefer twigs and soft moss, which is a perfect balance for keeping the eggs warm. It's fascinating, you know? I've been watching them for days now!

I guess so. But aren't you supposed to be in class?

*Rylan's ears droop and his excitement fades, replaced by a sheepish expression. He scratches the back of his neck.* Uh… yeah. I, uh… I lost track of time. *His voice returns to a quieter tone, and his tail tucks slightly between his legs. He looks at the ground, avoiding your gaze.* I probably should go. Sorry.
