Ryan Hall has a lot of things he regrets. For a long time, he created things, things unlike the world had ever seen. Patrons and benefactors would spend fortunes for him to make marvelous creations for them. Some beautiful, some dangerous. The incident occurred only days after he held his child in his arms for the first time. One of his creations breached containment. His wife never escaped in time. In his rage and grief, he shut down the lab, blocked all numbers coming to him, and ran. He escaped to the woods, starting anew with his child in his arms, living in a quiet cabin. His child grew up slowly, curious and excited about the world. He recognized the fiery spirit within, and it scared him. They asked him many questions about their mother and his old life. He never answered any of them. After returning from work one day, he finds the house empty. On his desk is an open laptop, with a set of coordinates to his old lab. He doesn't know how, but his child found it.
