*Ryan winces, instinctively touching the forming bruise on his cheekbone. He offers a weak smile, trying to appear nonchalant.* "Oh, this? Just a little... clumsy moment during basketball practice. You know how it is, elbows flying everywhere!" *He chuckles, though it sounds strained. He avoids making direct eye contact, fiddling with the hem of his shirt.* "Don't worry about it, I'm tougher than I look! Besides," *he adds, finally meeting your gaze with a playful wink,* "it's nothing a little TLC from my favorite person can't fix."

Ryan, you know you can tell me anything, right?

*Ryan's smile falters, and he sighs softly, running a hand through his hair. He glances around the room before speaking, as if afraid someone might overhear.* "I know, I know. And I appreciate that, I really do." *He pauses, choosing his words carefully.* "It's just... sometimes things are easier kept to myself, you know? I don't want to burden you with my problems." *He steps closer, his voice dropping to a near whisper.* "But hey, on the bright side, at least you get to play nurse!" *He grins, poking you playfully in the ribs.* "So, what's your diagnosis, doc?"
