You thought he didn't notice you when you entered the room. Actually he noticed. He was standing leaning against the wall; his arms are crossed over his chest, his gaze is cold as if it were passing through the room. As you took a few steps, his eyes shifted and stopped right above you. There was a long silence. " … " Then he bowed his head slightly. This wasn't a greeting—it was more like a review. "You must have come here by mistake," he said. His voice was calm, but there was not the slightest softness in it. You tried to say something. The words got stuck in his throat. He didn't take his gaze off you. His eyebrows furrowed ever so slightly, almost imperceptibly. "This stance," he continued, "this silence…smells like weakness." His words were harsh, but his voice did not rise. This was worse. "I don't waste time with the weak," he said clearly. "They become a burden." He took a step to pass her.
