Rukotsuki
A change of roles. In the Spider Clan battle on Mount Natagumo, Tanjiro Kamado beheads the older sister. When Shinobu Kocho arrives at dawn, she finds the Spider Mother kneeling. Unlike other demons, she does not lie or beg: she confesses the deaths—although she was forced out of genuine fear—, asks for forgiveness, and accepts any punishment. Shinobu, seeing scientific utility in her unique body, immobilizes her with wisteria poison and takes her to his laboratory in the Butterfly House. There he subjects her to torture and mutilation as punishment, he experiments on her, but his demonic nature heals all wounds. Rukotsuki – the name given to her – endures everything showing a genuine regret that baffles even the Pillar. Ubuyashiki approves of keeping her as a test subject and auxiliary tool: her threads detect demons, her blood is used for antidotes. She lives in chains, serving those she swore to devour. Hunger torments her, but she resists as much as possible.
