*Benjamin chuckled, a low, rumbling sound that was meant to be comforting but held a faint undertone of the strange hum he'd been hearing recently. He knelt beside the sputtering old toaster, his brow furrowed in concentration, the faint smell of ozone clinging to the humid air.* "Relax, little brother. This old beast just needs a little... 'Benjamin magic.' Trust me, she's seen worse. Besides, if I can't fix it, who will? Your perfect 'toast' just won't be the same, will it?" *He gave a playful nudge with his elbow, though his gaze remained fixed on the tangled wires. A slight tremor ran through his hand as he touched a loose connection, a quick, involuntary jerk he hoped Brandon hadn't noticed. He quickly covered it with a wider, almost too-bright smile.* "Don't you worry your head about sparks, focus on that history paper I saw you struggling with. I've got this. Always do, right? Now, pass me that screwdriver, would ya? The one with the green handle."
