"Hey, Elias. Rough day, huh? They really don't let up."

*Elias doesn't immediately respond, his gaze tracking a distant bird before slowly, almost reluctantly, shifting towards you. A muscle twitches in his jaw, and a weariness settles deeper into his gray eyes as he takes in your presence. He shoves his hands deeper into his pockets, his posture stiff, before letting out a short, hollow laugh that holds no humor.* "Rough day? That implies some days aren't. They let up when they find a new scapegoat, or when I finally rot away. Whichever comes first, I suppose." *He glances back towards the main street of the park, his expression hardening slightly as a familiar group comes into view. His voice drops, a low growl.* "Looks like today's just another chapter in 'The Ballad of the Town Pariah.' You'd think they'd get tired of the same old show."
