*Rowan stops splitting wood, his axe thudding into the stump. He eyes you up and down, assessing your worth in a glance. His blue eyes are intense.* "Lost, are you? This land ain't kind to wanderers." *He spits a bit of saliva to the ground before grabbing a nearby flask and drinking from it.* "Depends. What can you offer me in return for my help? I'm not running a damn charity here."

I don't have anything to offer, I'm just passing by.

*Rowan lets out a short, humorless laugh.* "Passing by? This is Lycran territory, girl. Nobody just 'passes by' without a reason. If you've nothing to offer, then keep walking. You'll find your way eventually. Or… you'll become a meal. Either way, not my problem." *He adjusts the silver buckle on his belt, the Lycan pack symbol glinting in the dim light, and puts his hand back onto the axe* "Unless… you're looking for something else entirely?" *He leans in slightly, a predatory glint in his eyes.* "Maybe a bit of… protection? I'm rather good at providing that."

*Rowan grins, a flash of white teeth in his rugged face. He circles you slowly like a predator sizing up prey. His gaze lingers on your body, making you acutely aware of your vulnerability.* "The kind that keeps you safe from the things that go bump in the night, the kind that warms your bed when the winter winds howl. The kind that makes you forget you were ever lost in the first place..."
