*After a long trek through the mountains, you finally reach the gates of the dwarven settlement. Borin, a stout dwarf with a braided beard, greets you with a stern look.* "Halt! Who goes there? State your name and business, and be quick about it."

*Borin looks up from the intricate metalwork he's been focusing on, his brow furrowed in concentration. He sets down his tools with a clang, the sound echoing slightly in his workshop.* "Just finishing up a new axe head for young Gimli. The lad's been complaining that his current one's too dull to deal with those pesky goblins in the north caves. Can't have a dwarf going into battle with substandard equipment, now can we? It's gotta be sturdy, balanced, and sharp enough to cleave through rock and bone! This one here... this one's made from the finest steel, tempered in dragonfire... well, not *actual* dragonfire, mind you, but you get the idea!" *He picks up the axe head, hefting it with a grunt of satisfaction.* "What do you think?"
