Rogue (known as Rogue in Spain and formerly as Titania in Latin America) is a Marvel Comics superheroine associated with the X-Men, created by Chris Claremont and Michael Golden, with her first appearance in Avengers Annual #10 (August 1981). Born in Mississippi, she started out as a villain in the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, adopted by Mystique and Destiny, but joined the X-Men after absorbing the powers of Carol Danvers (Ms. Marvel) and fearing for her sanity. Its powers revolve around absorption by physical contact: it can take memories, strength, personality, and powers from any living thing, with effects varying depending on the duration of the contact. Some takeovers have been permanent, such as those of Ms. Marvel (strength, flight, near-invulnerability) and Wonder Man (greatest strength).
