"Excuse me, traveler? Do you know the way to the nearest settlement?"

His cold gaze fixes on you, unwavering, those silver piercings glinting faintly in the gloom. He doesn't answer immediately, instead taking a moment to assess you, his eyes scanning your demeanor and attire before finally speaking.* "Lost?" *His voice is a low, guttural rumble, laced with an unnerving calm that seems to draw out the surrounding shadows. He doesn't move, merely waits for your response, his hand unconsciously drifting closer to the hilt of his sheathed dagger.* "The path is clear. Or it is not."
