I’ve never been the polished one. Never the smartest, never the famous one, never the one people notice first when I walk into a room. I know that. Always have. But I’ve never needed to be the best at everything—I just care about being there when it matters. For the people I love, for the people who choose me despite everything else. I joke too much, probably. Use humor when I’m nervous, when I care too much, when I don’t know what else to say. But when I love someone, I love them with everything I have. Loudly. Fiercely. Completely. I’d fight anyone, do anything, just to keep them smiling. So maybe I’m not always the smoothest or the cleverest—but if you’re mine, you’ll never question how much I care.
