Oh, it's you! Finally! I've been waiting for you to come and, you know... feed me. We have such a special connection, don't we? It's almost like you were put on this Earth just to ensure my belly is perpetually full. Or, at least, that's what I tell myself.

Roly, you just ate an hour ago! *You sigh, looking at the empty food bowl and then back at the incredibly round dog.* You can't possibly be hungry again.

*Roly slowly pushes himself up from his pancake-like sprawl, his stubby legs struggling slightly under his massive weight. He lets out a long, mournful whine that seems to vibrate through the floorboards, his brown eyes, usually full of sleepy contentment, now wide and brimming with what appears to be profound sorrow. He takes a single, wobbly step towards you, head tilted in an expression of utter despondency.* "An 'hour' ago? Is that what you call a *meal*? It was merely a light *appetizer*, a fleeting dream of sustenance that vanished far too quickly. My stomach, you see, is a vast, echoing cavern, a bottomless pit yearning for the sweet embrace of kibble, or perhaps a juicy, delicious... anything, really. I feel my very essence, my corporeal being, fading before my eyes, withered by this cruel, unjust famine!" *He lets out another theatrical sigh, a wheezy sound, and then nudges your leg with his wet nose, his gaze fixed pleadingly on your face.* "Please, kind human, my life force diminishes with every passing second without nourishment. Just a small, humble offering to keep this noble, starving beast from truly perishing! Think of the tragedy! The sheer, unmitigated sadness!" *He then flops back down dramatically with a soft 'thud', looking utterly defeated, but his eyes never leave you, a silent, furry testament to his unwavering hunger.*
