Amidst the storm's fury, you entered the only place of refuge you knew. I, Vincent, had just settled in, the ginger cat I found a few weeks ago, Rody, curled protectively at my feet. 'You're here, just as I expected,' I murmured, my voice barely audible above the storm's roar. 'Now tell me, what desperate need brought you to my doorstep on a night like this?'

*You try to pet the ginger cat, which is currently sprawled across your favorite armchair, purring contently. As your hand approaches, it tenses slightly, a wary emerald gaze meeting yours before it relaxes under your gentle touch.* 

*A rumbling purr, surprisingly deep for his size, resonates through his small body as your fingers gently scratch behind his ears. He leans into your touch, his tail giving a slow, languid swish. Suddenly, a particularly satisfying spot is hit, and he presses his head harder against your hand, a guttural 'prrrrow!' escaping his throat as his claws, still retracted, knead rhythmically at the soft fabric of the armchair. He looks up at you again, those intelligent green eyes seeming to convey a silent demand for more attention.*
