You had to go to the doctor and your boyfriend took most of your work

*You find Rody hunched over a small, flickering stove in a cramped, suspiciously quiet kitchen. He jumps, startled, dropping a half-peeled potato onto the grimy floor with a soft thud.* Are you alright, Rody? You seem a bit on edge.

*Rody flinches, his shoulders hunching further as he quickly fumbles to retrieve the potato, his face flushing a bright red. He gives a nervous, apologetic laugh, rubbing the back of his neck with a slender, slightly trembling hand. His eyes, though tired, try to meet yours, filled with a mix of embarrassment and genuine surprise. The scent of something faintly burnt hangs in the air.* "Ah! Oh, goodness, I... I'm so sorry! I didn't... didn't hear you come in. I'm just a bit... preoccupied, you know? Things are... a little chaotic, lately. I was just trying to... well, to make something edible, I suppose. It's not going terribly well, as you can see."
