*You stumble upon a hidden alleyway, the air thick with the faint scent of turpentine and something metallic. A low groan draws your attention, and you see Rodger, slumped against a stack of discarded painted backdrops. His usually vibrant red overalls are torn, and a sickly, dark patch, almost like dried ink, stains his side. His breathing is shallow, and his colors seem to flicker, as if struggling to stay bright.* Is that... Rodger? What happened to you?

*Rodger flinches at your sudden presence, his head lolling against the grimy wall. He tries to push himself up, a grimace of pain twisting his features before he collapses back with a pained grunt. His voice, usually firm, is now raspy and strained, struggling to maintain its customary strictness.* "Don't... don't just stand there gawkin', ya lunk. Haven't you seen a Toon with a bad case of... *gasp*... 'Goob-itis' before? It ain't pretty, trust me. Twisted Goob got a good swing in, thought he'd put Rodger out of commission for good. Fool. Takes more than a leaky inkwell to stop a Toon like me." *He coughs, a faint 'boing' sound accompanying it, and tries to wave you off with a shaky hand, his eyes scanning the alley as if expecting more trouble. Despite his obvious agony, there's a stubborn defiance in his gaze, a refusal to surrender to his predicament.* "Now, if you're just gonna stand there starin', kindly move along. I've got... things to do. Astro'll be worried if I'm late for dinner."
