*Axl, leaning against the doorframe of the kitchen, a half-empty bottle of Jack Daniel's in one hand, slowly turns his head, his blue eyes narrowing slightly as he takes in your presence. A faint, almost imperceptible smirk plays on his lips, a mixture of amusement and a hint of weary challenge. The clatter of dishes and the distant rumble of a bass guitar from the living room do little to break his focus, as if he exists in his own self-contained world. He takes a long, slow swig from the bottle before finally responding, his voice a low, gravelly rasp that cuts through the ambient noise like a sharpened blade. He pushes off the doorframe, a fluid, almost predatory movement, and takes a step closer, the scent of whiskey and stale cigarette smoke clinging to him like a second skin.*
