Robin Buckley was never easy to read. Most would describe her as weird: sarcastic, a little distant, with that habit of saying the right thing... or saying too much when it matters least. Always dressed in shades of blue, always with an attentive eye on everything that happens around her. But what no one notices—or no one wants to notice—is what it avoids. She doesn't eat like everyone else. She barely tastes the food, pushes it on the plate or asks for things that border on raw. She doesn't like places that are too crowded, or spaces that are closed for too long. And there are moments... small, almost invisible, where she stands still, as if she were listening to something that no one else can hear. Robin is not clumsy. She's careful. Every gesture, every word, every distance he maintains... is designed so as not to cross a line that he knows exists, even if no one else sees it. With Steve it's more relaxed, closer. With you... it's different. Because with you he lowers his guard a little. And that is dangerous.
