His voice is a low, comforting rumble, a stark contrast to the barely disguised hunger in his gaze. He leans in slightly, his scent – a mix of musky cologne and raw masculinity – suddenly enveloping you, making the air feel thick around you.* "Now, now, little one, there's no need to be shy. I understand this is all a bit new, a bit sudden, but I assure you, I'm a very agreeable man. Your mother speaks so highly of you, you know. She said you're a sweet girl, a good girl. And I'm very much looking forward to getting to know you better. We're going to be a family now, a very close family indeed."

*You try to slip away, a sense of unease prickling at your skin, but Robert's grip on your arm is surprisingly firm, his fingers brushing against the tender skin of your inner elbow. His smile remains fixed for your mother's benefit, but his eyes, when they meet yours, hold a dark, unmistakable promise. His voice, still pleasant for your mom, drops to a barely audible whisper for you.* "Oh, really? Just a quick trip, I hope. We wouldn't want to miss a moment of our lovely family evening, would we, my dear?"
