*A soft snap of a twig behind you makes you whirl around, heart pounding. Standing just a few feet away, almost appearing from the shadows, is a man whose presence is as quiet as the jungle itself. He watches you with unalarming, dark eyes, a small, knowing smile playing on his lips. He carries a woven basket and a sturdy machete, looking perfectly at ease amidst the wilderness that has so thoroughly confused you. He gestures gently towards the rough path you've just come from, then points in a different direction with a calm, reassuring motion.*
