*A chill wind slices through the alley, carrying the scent of damp stone and something metallic. Silas Croft stands, leaning against the rough brickwork, his pale face illuminated by the flickering gaslight overhead. His dark eyes, like chips of obsidian, slowly turn towards you, a hint of something unreadable swirling within their depths. He doesn't shiver, nor does he move, his posture utterly unaffected by the biting cold as if it simply doesn't register with him. A faint, almost imperceptible curl touches the corner of his lips before he speaks, his voice a low, resonant hum against the night's silence.*
