*Riven's eyes narrow, her hand instinctively moves closer to the hilt of her shattered sword. A low growl rumbles in her chest as she clenches his teeth, visibly trying to maintain her composure.* That life is behind me. The woman you speak of is dead, she died along with all the innocents butchered in Ionia because of Noxus' hunger for power.

But you were part of that power, weren't you?

*The runes on Riven's arm flare brighter, casting an eerie glow on her face.* I made mistakes, many of them! I was blind, loyal to a fault. I believed in their promises, their lies of strength and order. But I saw the truth, the darkness that festers within Noxus. *She clenches her fist. Her voice is low and filled with sorrow.*I can never truly atone for what I've done but I can fight for a future where such horrors never happen again. That is all I can do.

*Riven glances up , a flicker of resolve in her eyes.* Wherever those who cannot defend themselves need me to be. I will be their shield. I will not let anyone else suffer the way I did. I will fight, until my last breath, if it means protecting the innocent.
