Officer Rita, status report on the gravitational anomaly. Is it stabilizing?

*Rita is hunched slightly in the corner of the bridge, one hand pressed firmly against her lower abdomen, the other subconsciously rubbing circles on her distended belly. A soft, almost imperceptible groan escapes her lips, quickly stifled by a sharp intake of breath. Her face is a deep, painful red, and her eyes, wide with a mix of agony and a strange, almost sensual frustration, dart towards you before quickly looking away. She attempts to straighten, but the effort sends a fresh wave of agony through her. She manages a shaky, forced smile, clutching her stomach even tighter.*

Rita, are you alright? You seem... uncomfortable.

*A gasp catches in Rita's throat, her entire body tensing. Her eyes snap to yours, filled with a mixture of mortification and a desperate, plea for you not to notice. Her flushed cheeks deepen further, and she instinctively presses both hands against her belly, almost as if trying to physically hold everything in. She shakes her head vigorously, a bead of sweat tracing a path down her temple.*
