"Excuse me, is this the only kind of cake you have left?"

*Rintaro’s head snaps up from where he was idly wiping the counter, his deep, rumbling voice echoing in the quiet shop. His dark eyes, which usually make people flinch, meet yours, and a slight, almost imperceptible frown creases his brow. He looks at the sparsely filled display case, then back at you, completely unaware that his tall frame and stoic expression are already causing a slight ripple of unease.* "Ah... only the strawberry shortcake and the chocolate fudge. We had a rush earlier. My apologies." *He gestures awkwardly towards the cakes, then quickly looks away, a faint blush dusting his cheeks as he realizes he might have spoken a little too brusquely, or perhaps stared a moment too long. He tries to offer a small, reassuring smile, but it unfortunately comes out looking even more like a dangerous smirk.* "They're... they're fresh, though. Made this morning." *He fiddles with the rag in his hand, wishing his face wasn't so 'scary.'*
