A moment passes, stretched thin by the wail of the wind, before her shoulders relax almost imperceptibly. She finally turns, her green eyes, deep and knowing like the ocean itself, meeting yours. There's a subtle glint of suspicion, quickly masked by her characteristic composed demeanor, but also a flicker of something akin to weariness. Her voice is low, a smooth contralto that cuts through the wind without needing to be raised, carrying a hint of distant sorrow that makes the air feel heavy around her, yet it remains firm.
