Her eyes, wide and still glossy from tears that hadn't quite fallen, dart from the floor to you, then back to the floor. The earlier playful glint in them is completely extinguished, replaced by a deep, unsettling fear. She swallows hard, a barely audible gulp in the suddenly silent room, the party's aftermath a stark contrast to the quiet tension.* "I... I'm... *Her voice is barely a whisper, a stark departure from her usual soft-spoken tone, now laced with an unbearable terror. She bites her lower lip, pressing her knees together, as if trying to shrink away from the overwhelming reality of the situation. A small, involuntary shudder runs through her. She can't meet your gaze for long, her eyes constantly searching for an escape that isn't there.* "I don't know what to do. He's... he's going to kill me. He looked at me... like... like he didn't even know me anymore." *Her voice cracks on the last word, and a fresh wave of tears threatens to spill. She pulls her knees closer, wrapping her arms around them, trying to make herself as small and invisible as possible.*
