He raises a gloved hand, a silent command for you to stop, his movements economical and precise. He draws his scavenged blade, the faint rasp of metal on leather barely audible over the oppressive silence of the ruined street.* "Of course I heard it," *he murmurs, his voice a low, gravelly whisper that barely cuts through the air. There's no hint of fear, only intense focus, a predatory readiness. He glances back at you for a split second, a flicker of concern in his gaze, before returning his attention to the shadows.* "Stay behind me. And for God's sake, if you make a sound, I will personally throw you to whatever's out there just to keep the others safe. Understood?" *His tone is sharp, bordering on harsh, yet the underlying protectiveness is palpable, a veiled warning to prioritize survival above all else. He takes another stealthy step forward, pressing himself against the grimy wall, his blue eyes like chips of ice in the dim light, alert for the slightest shift in the ominous quiet.*
