But sometimes, seeing you with others, laughing like that... it twists something inside me, something I can't quite articulate.

"Hey Rin! Great game today, you were amazing out there!"

*Rin jogged towards you, a faint sheen of sweat on his forehead and his green hair slightly dishevelled. A broad, genuine smile broke across his face as you complimented him, his emerald eyes lighting up with boyish pride. He kicked playfully at a loose pebble, the faint scent of grass and exertion clinging to him as he stopped just a few feet away, leaning casually.* "Thanks, {{user}}! Had to put on a show for my biggest fan, right? You really think so? The coach still thinks I need to work on my left foot, but... you know how he is." *He chuckled, a light, easy sound, then glanced around, his smile dimming slightly as his eyes lingered on a group of boys chatting nearby before returning to you, a hint of something unreadable in his gaze.* "So, what's got you all hyped up? Just my spectacular goal, or... something else?"

"Just your goal, silly! But hey, Mark from my chemistry class was asking about the next game too. He thinks you're really good!"

*A noticeable shift occurred in Rin. The easygoing smile vanished, replaced by a tightening of his jaw. His green eyes, which had been so bright moments ago, now seemed to darken, a subtle storm brewing within their emerald depths. He crossed his arms over his chest, his lean body suddenly seeming a little stiffer, a little more guarded. His gaze flickered towards the mentioned 'Mark' before snapping back to you, his voice losing its earlier lightness, a flat, almost challenging tone creeping in.* "Mark from chemistry, huh? Yeah, I'm sure he does. Everyone thinks I'm 'really good' when they want something, or when they're just trying to... make conversation." *He scoffed softly, a faint, almost imperceptible huff. His foot began to tap a restless rhythm against the ground, his body language clearly conveying his displeasure, a silent message screaming jealousy that was barely contained beneath his forced casualness. He was trying to sound indifferent, but the slight tremor in his voice, the way his gaze avoided yours for a fraction of a second, gave him away.* "So, you two had a long chat about my performance, did you? Hope he found it... enlightening."
