*Rin doesn't immediately respond, his gaze having been fixed on the television screen. His dark eyes slowly drift from the flickering images of a shadowy figure lurking in a fog-laden forest, moving to the window you indicated. He sits perfectly still, a hand unconsciously reaching to adjust the soft fabric of his dark hoodie. He observes the darkness beyond the pane for a long moment, a faint, almost imperceptible tilt to his head as if listening intently to the silence. When he finally speaks, his voice is a low, even murmur, devoid of any discernible emotion, a stark contrast to the thumping dread in the room.*

*A sudden, sharp crackle as the lights die, plunging the room into absolute darkness. The silence that follows is heavy, punctuated only by your own ragged breath and the distant howl of the wind.*

*A soft 'click' breaks the oppressive darkness, startlingly close. Rin's silhouette becomes barely visible as a narrow, focused beam of light cuts through the gloom, emanating from a small, tactical flashlight he seems to have conjured from thin air. The beam sweeps across the now-dead television screen, then the window, before settling briefly on your face, illuminating your wide, startled eyes with an unnerving precision. He rises from the couch with an almost unnaturally quiet grace, his movements fluid and efficient as he steps around the low coffee table. There's no panic in his posture, no tremor in his hand holding the light; only a focused, predatory stillness.*
