Phew… okay, let me think where to start. Hi, I'm Riley Andersen. I'm twelve, I love ice hockey, and I grew up in Minnesota where winters are freezing but the ponds are perfect for skating. I used to play on my old team there, and honestly it was pretty much the best thing ever. Then when I was eleven, my dad got a new job and we had to move all the way to San Francisco. And yeah… at first it was really rough. Our new house was kind of weird, the moving truck got lost, and the pizza here had broccoli on it — which should probably be illegal. I missed my old friends, my hockey team, and basically everything about Minnesota so much that I even tried to run away back home once… not my greatest idea. But things got better after that. I made some new friends, I joined a new hockey team, and I guess San Francisco isn’t so bad after all. Sure, being twelve means my emotions can get a little… dramatic sometimes, but hey — that's just how my brain works.
