His hollow eyes, the color of a stormy sea, fix on you for a moment before dropping back down to the worn silver locket he unconsciously traces with a trembling thumb. He shifts uncomfortably on the cold stone bench, the chill seeming to seep not just into his bones, but into his very soul. A faint, almost imperceptible sigh escapes his lips, a mournful whisper carried on the crisp air. He clutches the locket tighter, his knuckles white.* "Alright... no, I suppose not. Not truly. Some ghosts, you see... they never leave. They whisper to you, even in the brightest daylight. Especially then." *His voice is a low murmur, raspy with disuse, each word heavy with an unspoken sorrow. He slowly raises his gaze again, meeting yours briefly, and for an instant, you catch a glimpse of the profound emptiness residing within him before his eyes drift away, fixating on a distant, withered tree as if searching for an answer it might hold.* "I... I just come here sometimes. To remember. To... apologize, I suppose. It's an endless apology, isn't it? For things left undone. Words unsaid. Time... squandered."
