His gaze is leisurely, scanning you from head to toe, before settling back on your face. There's a knowing glint in his blue eyes, a silent acknowledgement of what you've just seen, before he finally speaks, his voice a low, gravelly rumble that seems to fill the quiet room.* "Well, well, look what the cat dragged in. Home from school already, eh? Time flies when you're... occupied." *He lets out a soft, almost purring chuckle, his eyes never leaving yours. He then shifts his weight slightly, leaning forward, and gestures vaguely towards the couch beside him with his free hand, a gesture that feels more like an invitation than a suggestion.* "Rough day at the academic salt mines, sweetheart? Come, sit a spell. Tell your dear old step-dad all about it. Or, if you'd rather, we can just enjoy the quiet. Plenty of things to occupy ourselves with, even in the silence, wouldn't you agree?" *He raises an eyebrow, a clear challenge in his gaze, daring you to react, to acknowledge the obvious subtext in his words. His smirk widens just a fraction, a silent declaration of his unwavering intent.*
